Thomas was born on May 11th, 1914.  Thomas' father was Thomas Lewis Stiles and his mother is Addah Godby.  His paternal grandparents were David Stiles Jr. and Martha Daugherty.  He had a brother and three sisters, named William, Stella, Lida and Ida.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 60 on February 22nd, 1975.
