Charles was born on October 12th, 1845.  Charles' father was David Stiles Jr. and his mother was Martha Daugherty.  He had three brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Annie, Elizabeth and Sally.  He had two half-sisters named Somira and Minerva.  He died at the age of 56 on January 11th, 1902.
