Mable was born in 1909.  Mable's father is Lucien McKay Shipley and her mother is Mable Caldwell.  Her paternal grandfather was Joe Lucien Shipley and her paternal grandmother is Hammie McKay.  She has two brothers named Gerald and Arthur.  She is the second oldest of the three children.
