Justus was born on February 20th, 1902.  Justus' father was Charles Shipley and his mother is Minnie Taber.  His paternal grandparents were Randolph  Selmon Shipley and Somira Ellen Stiles.  He had four brothers named John, Paul, Charles and James.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 74 on June 20th, 1976.
