James was born on August 15th, 1919.  James' father was Charles Shipley and his mother is Minnie Taber.  His paternal grandparents were Randolph  Selmon Shipley and Somira Ellen Stiles.  He had four brothers named John, Justus, Paul and Charles.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at 3 months old on November 19th, 1919.
