Katie was born in November 1865.  Katie's father was Columbus Klinglesmith and her mother was Malora (Annie) Ann Stiles.  Her maternal grandparents were David Stiles Jr. and Martha Daugherty.  She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Noah, David, Robert, Thomas, Abraham, Ambrose, John, George, Dixie, Mary and Minnie.  She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.  She died at 2 months old in January 1866.
