Edna was born in 1932.  Edna's father is Alexander Hill and her mother is Mary Emma Pumphrey.  Her maternal grandparents are Clarence Pumphrey and Sarah (Sally) Eliza Shipley.  She has a brother and two sisters, named Jack, Myra and Mary.  She is the youngest of the four children.
