Hettie was born on April 14th, 1863.  Hettie's father was Darius Willett and her mother was Virginia (Jennie) Kirtley.  Her paternal grandparents were Griffith Willett and Rhoda Stiles.  She had a brother named Robert.  She was the older of the two children.  She had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Henry, Lee, Rhoda, Bud, Bascome, Archie, Mary, Victoria, Suda, Maggie and Callie.  She died at the age of 88 on February 3rd, 1952 in Taylor County, KY.  Her burial was in Brookside Cemetery, Taylor Co., KY.1
