Franklin was born on February 8th, 1832.  Franklin's father was Griffith Willett and his mother was Rhoda Stiles.  He had four brothers and three sisters, named Darius, George, David, Margaret, Elizabeth, Corrilla and Mahulda.  He was the sixth oldest of the eight children.  He died due to murder / assassination, he was shot to death, at the age of 38 in December 1870 in Sharp Co, AR.
