Robert  was born on November 16th, 1853.  Robert 's father was Robert Preston Sanders and his mother was Mahulda Willett.  His maternal grandparents were Griffith Willett and Rhoda Stiles.  He had three sisters named Lloyd, Mary and Rhoda.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at 10 months old on October 15th, 1854.  His burial was in Hickory Cemetery, Clayhill, Taylor Co., Ky.1
