Ellen was born on August 30th, 1898.  Ellen's father is James Robert Sanders and her mother was Minnie Lee Graves.  Her maternal grandfather is Charles Henry Graves and her maternal grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Sanders.  She has a brother and a sister, named Charles and Elizabeth.  She is the oldest of the three children.
