Ovana was born on November 2nd, 1917.  Ovana's father was Willett Holderman Rush and her mother was Frankie May Milton.  Her paternal grandfather is Cadwallader (C.W.) Willett Rush and her paternal grandmother was Rhoda Belle Bland.  She had three brothers named James, Willett and Frank.  She is the third oldest of the four children.
