Lewis Stiles

Lewis was born on September 13th, 1785. He died due to "nervous affect" at the age of 73 on November 17th, 1858.

- was born in New Jersey; came to Ky with his father at age 24; was commissioned Lietenant, then Captain in War of 1812 by Gov. Isaac Shelby, Ky's first governor. Appt magistrate, Nelson Co, Ky and held the office for many years. held office of executor and was guardian of many trusts. appt Postmaster, Rolling Fork, Ky. in 1824
