Anna was born in 1896.  Anna's father was William Huston Stiles and her mother is Mattie Ross Stuart.  Her paternal grandparents were Sam Phillips Stiles and Anna Grundy Huston.  She had a brother and a sister, named Harlan and Bessie.  She is the second oldest of the three children.
