William was born on August 25th, 1931.  William's father is Roy J. Foster and his mother was Anna Wright.  His maternal grandfather is Will Wright and his maternal grandmother was Sarah Pence.  He has a brother and a sister, named Roy and Jane.  He is the youngest of the three children.
