Roy was born on October 28th, 1923.  Roy's father is Roy J. Foster and his mother was Anna Wright.  His maternal grandfather is Will Wright and his maternal grandmother was Sarah Pence.  He has a brother and a sister, named William and Jane.  He is the oldest of the three children.
