Susan was born in 1907.  Susan's father is Robert Knox Tarkington and her mother is Edith Lovett.  Her paternal grandfather was Joseph  Maxwell Tarkington and her paternal grandmother is Susan Caldwell.  She had a brother and a sister, named Robert and Elizabeth.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died in Kansas City, Missouri.
