Elizabeth was born in 1883.  Elizabeth's father is Robert Knox Tarkington and her mother is Edith Lovett.  Her paternal grandfather was Joseph  Maxwell Tarkington and her paternal grandmother is Susan Caldwell.  She had a brother and a sister, named Robert and Susan.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 65 in 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
