David was born on January 9th, 1896.  David's father is Cyrus B.  Scott and his mother was Louetta Brown.  His maternal grandfather is John Brown and his maternal grandmother was Mary Eliza Miller.  He had two sisters named Mattie and Mary.  He is the second oldest of the three children.
