Lida was born on November 5th, 1881.  Lida's father was Demas Stiles Jr. and her mother is Elizah Doyal.  Her paternal grandparents were Demas Stiles and Margaret Ann Owsley.  She had four brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Hugh, Walter, William, Lee, Josie, Ellen and Mary.  She is the fourth oldest of the nine children.
