David was born on February 12th, 1861.  David's father is David Thomas Stiles and his mother is Nancy L. Bell.  His paternal grandparents were Demas Stiles and Margaret Ann Owsley.  He had two sisters named Isabella and Jennie.  He is the second oldest of the three children.  He has a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Melissa.
