Charles was born on January 23rd, 1852.  Charles' father was Demas Stiles and his mother is Tamson Bazzill.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named James, Francis, George, Mary, Arabella, Sallie and Eliza.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named David, Henry, John, Demas, William and Nancy.  He died at the age of 62 on May 15th, 1914.  His burial was in General Cemetery, Frazee, MN.
