Deskin was born on April 3rd, 1918.  Deskin's father is John Deskin Z. Sisson and his mother was Erna Vivian Sisson.  His maternal grandparents were Benjamin Wellington Sisson and Isabella Stiles.  He had two sisters named Zola and Velma.  He is the youngest of the three children.
