James was born on April 26th, 1924.  James' father was Seth Jackson and his mother was Sarah Rebecca Fowler.  His paternal grandfather is Henry Jackson and his paternal grandmother was Mary Alice Stiles.  He has a brother and two sisters, named Larrie, Kathryne and Alice.  He is the youngest of the four children.
