Robert Franklin Gordon

Robert was born on October 30th, 1939. Robert's father is Franklin Hall Gordon and his mother is Marjorie June Garrison. His maternal grandparents were Lawrence W. Garrison and Nova Evalyn Stiles. He has a brother and a sister, named Arthur and Elizabeth. He is the youngest of the three children.

General Notes
- I had the priviledge of visiting with the Gordans at their home in Osceloa, Missouri and I got to tour their Gordan's Orchard business - even got to see how they make their delicious apple cider! Bob has become very important since 2008. It seems that the University of Missouri was researching Elderberries, which grow wild, but have become very important to the herbal business, since it has been found that elderberries can help alleviate the symptoms of cold and flu. The reserchers collected samples of elderberries from different locations. They were looking for a plant that produces a lot of berries and one that allows the fruit producing head to droop so it is protected from the sun. They found that the plant that best matched their requirements were found on the Gordon farm. Now that plant is being raised commercially and is called the "Bob Gordon Elderberry". Unfortunately, since it grows naturally, it can't be patented, so all Bob and Kay got as a result of the find is their name on the plant!/
