Edward was born on December 26th, 1937.  Edward's father is Richard Armstead and his mother is Helen Genevieve Stiles.  His maternal grandparents are Everett Charles Stiles and Mabelle P. Gunerius.  He has two brothers and a sister, named Lester, Richard and Barbara.  He is the youngest of the four children.
