William was born on September 2nd, 1908.  William's father is Bee Anderson and his mother is Katie Lamson Doyal.  His maternal grandfather is William B. Doyal and his maternal grandmother was Arabella Stiles.  He had three brothers and three sisters, named Roy, Hurschel, James, Baby, Dollie and Ruth.  He is the fourth oldest of the seven children.
