Fannye was born on November 13th, 1898.  Fannye's father is Tom R. Thomas and her mother was Margaret Ann Stiles.  Her maternal grandfather was Rev. Jacob w. Stiles and her maternal grandmother is Mary Eliza Beeler.  She had two brothers and four sisters, named Charles, John (Jack), Alta, Sarah, Mary and Valeria.  She is the sixth oldest of the seven children.
