Charles was born on November 14th, 1915.  Charles' father was Charles Louis Thomas and his mother was Beulah  Rodgers.  His paternal grandfather is Tom R. Thomas and his paternal grandmother was Margaret Ann Stiles.  He had two brothers and four sisters, named Louis, John, Margaret, Helen, Frances and Bessie.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 59 on January 20th, 1975.
