Rodger was born on August 30th, 1897.  Rodger's father was William Isaac Stiles and his mother is Ella Hanna.  His paternal grandparents were Lewis Fisk Stiles and Mary Parker Thomas.  He had five brothers and three sisters, named Mary, James, Charles, William, Hubert, Lucy, Eunice and Lourene.  He was the sixth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 61 on September 24th, 1958.
