Robert was born on September 15th, 1866.  Robert's father was Rev. Jacob w. Stiles and his mother is Mary Eliza Beeler.  His paternal grandfather was Charles Stiles.  He had five brothers and six sisters, named Charles, James, Jacob, William, Harlan, Perditta, Margaret, Emma , Rebecca, Caroline and Rhoda.  He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Jacob, Henry, William, Jesse, David, Mary, Gertrude and Frances.  He died at the age of 97 in 1963 in Hanna City, Il..  His burial was in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Peoria, IL.
