Robert was born on March 15th, 1912.  Robert's father was William Vaughn Stiles and his mother is Alta Vivian Potter.  His paternal grandfather was Rev. Jacob w. Stiles and his paternal grandmother is Mary Eliza Beeler.  He had three brothers named Donald, Delbert and Charles.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 62 on November 5th, 1974.
