David was born on July 7th, 1919.  David's father was Rev. Jacob w. Stiles and his mother is Lucinda Davis.  His paternal grandfather was Charles Stiles.  He had four brothers and three sisters, named Jacob, Henry, William, Jesse, Mary, Gertrude and Frances.  He had six half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Robert, Charles, James, Jacob, William, Harlan, Perditta, Margaret, Emma , Rebecca, Caroline and Rhoda.  He died at the age of 53 in 1972.
