Charles was born in 1867.  Charles' father was Rev. Jacob w. Stiles and his mother is Mary Eliza Beeler.  His paternal grandfather was Charles Stiles.  He had five brothers and six sisters, named Robert, James, Jacob, William, Harlan, Perditta, Margaret, Emma , Rebecca, Caroline and Rhoda.  He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Jacob, Henry, William, Jesse, David, Mary, Gertrude and Frances.  He died at the age of 29 in 1896.
