Carol was born on September 28th, 1957.  Carol's father is Virgil Porter Quirk and her mother is Gail Elizabeth  Manz.  Her paternal grandfather was Alexander Johnson Quirk and her paternal grandmother is Lizzie Tanner Porter.  She has a brother and four sisters, named Alexander, Susan, Elizabeth, Sarah and Nancy.  She is the fourth oldest of the six children.
