Helen was born on April 28th, 1908.  Helen's father was Frank  Virgil Porter and her mother was Nannie Chris Stiles.  Her maternal grandparents were Lewis Fisk Stiles and Mary Parker Thomas.  She had two brothers and four sisters, named James, Lewis, Mary, Lizzie, Carrie and Eva.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 65 on September 24th, 1973.
