Joseph Handley Gaddie

Joseph was born on April 27th, 1878. Joseph's father was John Thompson Gaddie and his mother was Christianna Stiles. His maternal grandfather was Charles Stiles. He had seven brothers named Charles, Robert , Robert, John, Lewis, Ira and George. He was the sixth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 84 on March 21st, 1963.

- Buried in the Methodist Cemetery, Stiles, Ky.

General Notes
- Was born and lived his whole life in the home his grandfather, Charles Stiles, built. He and his brothers added the columns in front. His nickname was "Brigham". Legend says that he was called "Youngun", then "Brigham" after Brigham Young. I am told that one of the flaws in the house were indentations in the parlor door from Joe "Brigham" beating the dinner bell against the door.
