Robert was born on August 18th, 1900.  Robert's father was Joseph Washington Beeler and his mother was Sallie Glover.  His paternal grandfather is James Beeler and his paternal grandmother was Mary Lattie Stiles.  He had a brother and six sisters, named James, Elizabeth, Lattie, Katie, Sara, Mary and Bernice.  He is the third oldest of the eight children.
