Herbert was born on March 8th, 1882.  Herbert's father was Hardin Logan Beeler and his mother was Margaret Ann Harned.  His paternal grandparents were Charles Beeler and Mary Ann Stiles.  He had two brothers and three sisters, named Charles, Jesse, Mary, Sallie and Christy.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 89 on May 19th, 1971.
