Robert was born on December 9th, 1957.  Robert's father is Lloyd Estel Shipp and his mother is Charlotte Ann Reynolds.  His maternal grandparents are Floyd Richard Reynolds and Ora Edna Shipp.  He has three brothers named James, Timothy and Michael.  He is the third oldest of the four children.
