Arthur was born on May 29th, 1892.  Arthur's father was Guy Lewis Stiles and his mother is Emma W. Hagan.  His paternal grandfather was James Maxwell Stiles and his paternal grandmother is Susan Neff.  He had four brothers and two sisters, named Willard, Gusta, Henry, Roy, Marietta and Gladys.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 47 in 1939.
