Abraham Stiles

Abraham was born in 1802. He died due to Pneumonia at the age of 63 on January 10th, 1865. His burial was in Blue Ball Baptist Cemeter near Rineyville, Ky.

General Notes
- Abraham was born in New Jersey and moved with his family to Kentucky in 1809. He was one of the younger children in the family, in fact he was 17 years younger than Lewis, his oldest brother. His brother Chalen had moved to land close to Lebanon, KY, probably because he would be close to his sister Eunice Maxwell. Abraham moved to Howe Valley in Hardin County, Kentucky to start his family. I don't know, but imagine that by the time Abraham was old enough to start his adult life, there just wasn't enough farm land left at the homeplace for him to have enough land to farm. He obviously kept his ties to home open, since he named his first daughter after his mother, Elizabeth, his next two daughters were named for his sisters and his next son was named for Eunice's husband.
  We don't have much information about Abraham's family. Two of Abraham's children, Franklin and Mary Elizabeth died without children. We have no information about descendants of Densy and Eunice. Only the descnedants of James Maxwell and Ambrose Denton are recorded here. I hope that some of you may have more information to help us bring this family up to date.
